WHAT COMES TO THE MIND

📓Romans 12:2
_And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)_

Always, there are many thoughts that come to our mind that we don't expect. These thoughts come due to mainly what we see and hear. Sometimes, the devil also brings some thoughts to our mind just to tempt us. The mind always receives and works on our senses; what we see, hear, feel, smell and taste. It therefore, begins to work on what is received from any of the senses whether good or evil, but we can set guard over its works.

It is said, "you can't prevent the birds from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from constructing a nest on your head". Likewise, we can't keep or prevent thoughts from coming to our mind but we can decide not to ponder (meditate) on them. Anytime we dwell on evil thoughts, our actions also become evil. Therefore, we need to delete such thoughts and replace them with good thoughts as soon as they arise.

Beloved, no matter how highly anointed you are, you will have a wrong or an evil thought at one time or another. However, just because an evil thought comes to your mind doesn't mean dwell on it. Set a limit over your mind and guard it. Always begin your day by asking God to control and guard your mind. Ask Him to be the Lord over your mind and He will quickly alert you when an evil thought comes to your mind. Notably, our destiny starts from within our mind, therefore there is the necessity to put God's Word in our mind.
