DEAL WITH YOUR WEAKNESSES

📓1 Corinthians 10:12
_Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (KJV)_

Every strong person has areas of his or her weakness which are usually called weak points. Likewise, in our spiritual life we are all strong in some areas and weak in others. It's significant therefore to examine ourselves in order to discover our strengths and weaknesses. Having discovered, in areas of weakness, we need to be cautious of them and must deal with them. What must we do to our weaknesses in order to protect our spiritual life?

Solomon, one of the greatest King of Israel, for all his wisdom, had some weak points. He couldn't alienate himself from lustful desires. Left unchecked, he lusted after many women including idolatrous women and they turned his heart from God. He was then found of worshiping idols (1 Kings 11:1-13). If the wisest King fell because he failed dealing with his weaknesses, then if we are not cautious we can fall into the same gutter. No matter how much we love God, certain temptations are difficult to conquer especially where our weakness lies. These weaknesses are the areas of vulnerability which give Satan a solid grip. Therefore, we must deal with them.

Dear in Christ, your strengths won't be of much benefits if you fail to deal with your weaknesses. Protect and strengthen yourself where you are weak. An inclination to sin much be dealt with quickly; else, it may subdue you and cause you to fall. Sometimes, you must avoid certain places, people and activities in which you know can lure you into sinning. If you think you are strong, be cautious of your weaknesses so that you don't fall. Start dealing with your weaknesses now!
