ON THE CROSS

📓1 Corinthians 1:18
_For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (KJV)_

Christ Jesus was sent to die for everyone's sin. He was crucified; was put to death by being nailed on a crossed wooden bars. He died for we sinners. "Now, most people would not be willing to die for upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinner" - Romans 5:7-8 (nlt). Obviously, we deserved not to be showed this great love but God did for us. Why don't we accept this great offer?

The Cross has won great freedom for you and I. Those who executed Christ on the Cross thought they were killing a man who was trampling on their freedom. They didn't realize that doing that was rather releasing the key to their own freedom and ours. Beloved, you will not know the secret behind the Cross until you lift up your eyes and take a good look at it. Also, if you are not observant, you will not notice that standing straight on your feets with your arms open straight sideways pictures the Cross which signifies giving oneself away and having freedom.  Our victory; salvation, deliverance, healing, and the like were all won on the Cross.

Brethren, Jesus took our sorrows, pains, punishment for our sins on the Cross. Therefore, let the message of the Cross be of importance to you because it's the power of God for you. Make a decision today that you will live each day trusting in God and receiving the forgiveness He is offering you through Jesus Christ. Accept the message of the Cross and you will be forgiven, delivered, healed and saved. Not all, your Christian life will go astray when you do away with the Cross. Therefore, always take the Cross with you as you follow Jesus. Jesus said "if you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine" - Matthew 10:38, (nlt).

THE UNCHANGEABLE DEPENDABLE GOD

📓Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (KJV)_ David said, "the heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork" - Psalm 19:1. Despite all the evidences the nature (creation) reveal about God and His supremacy, many people still have shallow knowledge about God and even some don't believe in Him at all. They therefore limit the power of the Lord in situations. They face difficulties and think they are too big for the Lord to handle. However, our thoughts are not the thoughts of the Lord, neither are our ways His ways (Isaiah 55:8). The Lord is greater and bigger than everything and we are to know that. WHAT COMES TO THE MIND

📓Romans 12:2 _And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)_ Always, there are many thoughts that come to our mind that we don't expect. These thoughts come due to mainly what we see and hear. Sometimes, the devil also brings some thoughts to our mind just to tempt us. The mind always receives and works on our senses; what we see, hear, feel, smell and taste. It therefore, begins to work on what is received from any of the senses whether good or evil, but we can set guard over its works. It is said, "you can't prevent the birds from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from constructing a nest on your head".
