JOY IN CHRIST JESUS

đź““John 15:11 _These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. (KJV)_ Today, many Christians often feel misfit because they don't view things in God's perspective. They are blind to the joy they have in Christ Jesus. They tend to think of unbelievers as rather joyful. Due to the rolling waves of circumstances, adversities, and persecutions in Christianity, it seems the world (unbelievers) is rejoicing over Christians. However,  the values of the world and the values of God are often in an opposite position. Actually, a compatible relationship with Christ Jesus is what bring joy, nothing else. Apostle Paul said, "Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trails, for we know that help us develop endurance. And endurance develops str

KEEP THE FAITH AND BE STRONG

(KJV)_ As Christians, people may mock us, persecute us, lie about us, and even say all sorts of evil things against us. Nonetheless, we must be happy, keep the faith and be strong without worrying  for a great reward awaits you. The people of Israel escaped famine through Joseph by moving to Egypt. Several years after Joseph's death, the then time Pharaoh and the Egyptians tried to depress and wear down the Israelites by forcing them into slavery and mistreating them. However, the more the oppression, the more the Israelites multiplied and grew stronger. When a believer is oppressed by the enemy, God impresses him; when the enemy tries to work a believer with division, God puts in place multiplication. Actually, when we are burdened or mistreated, we may feel defeated. But our burdens can make us stronger and develop qualities in us t

ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL TO GOD

They wouldn't appreciate you despite the care and help you offer them. Their ungratefulness therefore eats into their Christian life. They close their eyes off all that God has been doing for them. Actually, they are like the nine out of the ten lepers Jesus healed. Ten lepers cried to Jesus Christ for mercy. Jesus with compassion, said to them, "...'Go show yourselves to the priests'. And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, 'Praise God!' He fell on the ground at Jesus' feet, thanking Him for what He had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, 'Didn't I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And Jesus s

WHAT GOD HAS FOR HIS CHILDREN

(KJV)_ A Child of God whose heart is always full of sorrow and worries has actually forgotten what his Father (God) has in store for Him. Why are we (Christians) suppose to worry while our Father is the creator and owner of the universe? God has planned to give us a future and a hope. A must know! "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose" - Romans 8:28 (niv). Knowing the glorious future that awaits us deletes infelicity from us hearts, and gives us hope and joy. Hallelujah! Form today's opening verse, the Scripture displays the fact that no one can imagine and nothing can best describe all that God has prepared for us. Jesus Christ also gave us hope by giving a tipoff about what God has in store for us. He

NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD

(KJV)_ God is the controller of the universe. He is greater than any force or power in the universe; All power belongs to Him. He is the First and the Last. He is in control. He takes and glorify Himself with what seems foolish and impossible in the sight of man. He can stretch limits and cause unprecedented events to occur. He is not formulaic; He is not bound by what commonly happens. He acts in many different ways. Can anything be too hard for the one who holds all power? It's a big "NO". Sarah, Abraham's wife waited 90 years for a child. Actually, Sarah was too old to expect to have a child of her own. She was long past the period (age) of having a child. However, God who is not bound by limits spoke to her situation and promised her a child. How could a worn-out woman have a child with her very old h

I HAVE LEARNED

(KJV)_ The fall of man from God's gracious presence affected all creation. With the exception of Jesus, every human being ever born has inherited the sinful nature of Adam and Eve. No one teaches or educates men to think and act evil; naturally, they do. There is no need to plant thorns and thistles; they naturally grow because they are indigenous to the earth. However, to enjoy the good fruits and precious things of the earth, there is the need of cultivation. Probably, pumpkins will not just sprout on our plots but weeds will. If we want pumpkins, we must learn to cultivate. If we want godliness and contentment, we must cultivate. As human as we are, our hearts are full of pride, discontent, covetousness, slander, greed, and other lustful desires. To get rid of our sinful nature, we need the new nature that can produce self-control and contentme

ALL POWER BELONGS TO JESUS

Image
đź““Matthew  28:18 _And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (KJV)_ The word "POWER" means the ability to produce an effect; to possess control, influence, or authority over others. "ALL" means with no exception or remainder. Now, from our text, if "ALL POWER" belongs to Christ Jesus, then there is no remainder for Satan, the devil. Actually, the devil has no power. Christ Jesus, through His death and resurrection, has overthrown the devil from any power seat. Jesus, who has all power and authority in heaven and on earth, has given His disciples (believers) power and authority. He said, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the powers of the enemy; and nothing will harm you" - Luke 10:19, (NIV). Obviously, believers in Christ have no reason to fear the devil. We have been given authority over all their powers. Therefore, the devil has no power

GO AGAIN SEVEN TIMES

Image
1 Kings 18:43  _And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. (KJV)_ One thing every Christian must not dream of is unbelief. We must have faith in our God in all things and at all times even if what we are expecting from Him seems delaying. Faith is strong and active to the extend that she more frequently beseeches her God. She (faith) keeps dreaming of her unachieved goal again and again. Actively, she goes again and again. Like faith, we must go again and again until our goal is achieved. We are not to give up when we live by Faith. Actually, prayer is faith. When a Christian prays, he or she formally declares to God: "I have realized that you exist. I believe that you hear my request and that you will answer me." When Elijah was praying for rain after three and half years of no rain, he prayed persistently. He received no sign of an answer after six consecutive ti
