RESISTING THE DEVIL

Satan has been defeated by Jesus for you. Why are you trying to defeat he who has been defeated for your sake? Don't waste your strength and precious time on Satan. He is a loser and you are a winner. We are not now defeating Satan. We have defeated him long ago through Jesus. We now resist him. There is a difference between DEFEAT and RESISTANCE. We believe in Satan's DEFEAT done by Jesus and we RESIST him by opposing his activities with the accurate knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Therefore, let Satan know that you know his defeat by believing in what Jesus did for you. You are a victor. You are a winner. Walk in victory by faith in the Lord Jesus. Walk in healing. You're a blessing. Satan is aware of that. You have the authority to bind and loose. You have the authority to trample on the activities of Satan.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

You see, we are powerful as a children of God. Jesus Christ made it possible for us two thousand years ago. Yes! Satan knows that you're powerful than he is. He knows that your knowledge about what Jesus did for you on the cross and you believing in it will keep him out business. So he wants you to be ignorant about who you truly are in Christ. He wants to deceive you. He wants to outsmart you.

However, resist him not by prayer or fasting but by seeking for the truth. The truth is Jesus Christ. The truth is what Jesus did on the cross for you and I. The truth is the Word of God. Knowing the truth will set you free from his deceits. You pray and fast a lot but you're still in bondage because of wrong knowledge and wrong weapon. You are not enjoying true freedom in Christ because you are using the wrong approach.

We don't approach the devil (Satan) with prayer. We approach God with prayer. Prayer is not a weapon, the Word of God is. Stop trying to resist the devil with prayer. Prayer is a fellowship (that will be next teachings). I know it is hard to understand this, but that is the truth. The devil don't fear your prayer. He fears the truth. He fears the Word of God in you. He fears Christ in you (Matthew 4:1-11). He fear he who submits to the truth (James 4:7).

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES.

What are the devices of Satan? Lies and deceits of course. So the only weapon to resist lies and deceits is the TRUTH which is the WORD OF GOD. Use the right weapon as a Child of God. Your freedom is very important to God that is why He sent His beloved Son, Jesus Christ to make it available for you. Seek for Him, know the truth, resist the devil with the truth and enjoy the benefits (freedom) in Christ.
