WHERE TO FIND PEACE

đź““John 14:27
_Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV)_

We live in a world of anarchy. There is evil everywhere. There are always circumstances beyond our control that snatch away our peace. Upon the measures the world's leaders are putting in place to ensure peace and security, we always have cases of conflicts, war, robbery, murder, suicides, bribery, corruption, mentioned but few. Though the world is always developing in terms of science and technology, they are doing more harm than good. The more we advance ourselves in technology, the more our peace and security are robbed away. People are longing for peace, but the world is unable to provide for them. How and where then can we find true peace?

Many people are not realizing the truth about this world and life. Nothing in the world can fill the emptiness and satisfy the deep longing in our eternal restless hearts. God is the satisfaction of our deep longings. Without Him, our life is incomplete; without Him, we cannot find true peace. The world tries to find peace by avoiding wars and conflicts. But God's peace is different from what the world views as peace. A peace which gives us the assurance and hope that God is in control no matter the circumstance. A peace which goes deep down into our hearts and minds. This is true peace. It goes far beyond the absence of conflicts. God has placed it in Christ Jesus. So, we can only find it by accepting and following Christ Jesus.

Beloved, peace is worth searching for. It's written, "....search for peace and work to maintain it" - 1Peter 3:11 (nlt). But never think the world can provide you true peace. It only comes from faith in Christ Jesus. Therefore, to find true peace, you must accept and follow Christ Jesus. To find true peace, you must turn away from evil and do good, thus, you must live to please the Most High God. For the Scripture says, "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him" - Proverbs 16:7. So, as you live to please God, you give the Holy Spirit the chance to live in you and bear fruits in you. And one of the fruits the Holy Spirit bears is PEACE.

đź””REMEMBER, PEACE IS NEITHER THE ABSENCE OF CONFLICT NOR TROUBLE, BUT THE PRESENCE OF CHRIST JESUS.
